Kay Allen Chapman is in her sixth year as Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Academic Services. She was appointed to the position on Monday, July 16, 2012, by Augusta University Director of Athletics, Clint Bryant.
Chapman is the second full-time coordinator of the position specifically for Jaguar Athletics. Ian Potter held the position from September 2007 until January 2012.
“We are fortunate to have found someone of Kay’s caliber and she’ll make a fine addition to our staff,” Bryant said. “Her experience and background will be a definite asset to our entire department. I think she is a perfect fit for us, especially as we transition into consolidation and beyond.”
A native of Greenville, S.C., Chapman attended Emory University in Atlanta, Ga., earning a BS in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology in 2002. In 2011, Chapman graduated cum laude from Florida Coastal School of Law. Chapman became a member of the Florida Bar in July 2011.
Chapman is part of the Augusta University Office of Compliance and Enterprise Risk Management team and serves as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator for Athletics. During her first year as a member of the National Association for Athletics Compliance (NAAC), Chapman was named a 2014 NAAC Convention Stipend recipient.
Chapman is a 2005 alumna of Leadership Augusta.
