Remembering Former Augusta Baseball Player Shannon Johnson
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Shannon Hilliard Johnson, 45, of Los Angeles, Calif., was killed Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, in the tragic incident in San Bernardino, Calif., while he and his fellow employees were attending a Christmas party. He died heroically as he acted as a shield for a fellow employee who survived the violent massacre of 14 people. He will be remembered throughout America for his statement “I got you” as he covered her body from the gunfire of the assailants.

Corn Hole Tournament Feb. 18 In CFH
AUGUSTA, Ga. – GRU Augusta’s Student Athletic Advisory Council (SAAC) is holding a Corn Hole Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 18 at 7:00 p.m. in the north mezzanine area of Christenberry Fieldhouse. Two man teams can enter the tournament and the cost is $5 a person or $10 a team. All of the proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation which helps fulfill a child's wish who has a chronic disease.
