Baseball Set To Host CSRA First Responders Night

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University baseball team hosts a Peach Belt Conference game against Georgia Southwestern on Friday, March 3 and all first responders from the CSRA will be admitted free of charge to cheer on the Jaguars at Lake Olmstead Stadium.

All police officers, deputy sheriffs, firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, and rescuers will be admitted free by showing a certified ID/license proving they're a first responder. Family members of the first responders are free as well!

The term "first responder" is defined by the U.S. Homeland Security Presidential Directive and refers to those individuals who in the early stages of an incident are responsible for the protection and preservation of life, property, evidence, and the environment.

The game is the Peach Belt home opener for Augusta and first pitch is set for 6:00 p.m. against the GSW Hurricanes. The Jags host all their games this season at Lake Olmstead Stadium.

General admission tickets at the gate are $5 for the public. Children six and under and all AU faculty, staff, and students are admitted free of charge! Admission is only charged for conference games.
