Jags Slip In Non-Conference Action At No. 4 North Greenville

TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Augusta University baseball team competed in its 13th non-conference game of the season on Tuesday afternoon at No. 4 nationally-ranked North Greenville University and lost a 13-0 slugfest at Ashmore Park.

 

The Augusta (11-29) loss gave North Greenville (36-6) its fifth consecutive win of the season.

 

Jaguar senior David Hagelston (0-2) started his third game of the year and tossed three innings. He held the Crusaders to four hits for two runs (one earned), before the bullpen took over with six different Jaguars pitching in relief.

 

Seniors Jim Wagner and Brent Alford, junior Patrick Watson, sophomore Timothy Gray, and freshman Mason Robertson each had a hit to total AU's five on the day.

 

The Jags host Paine College on Wednesday, April 18 for a 6:00 p.m. non-conference game at Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta, Ga. AU faces Georgia College at home this weekend – hosting the Bobcats Friday, April 20 (6pm), Saturday, April 21 (2pm), and Sunday, April 22 (1pm) at the Lake.
