AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State head basketball coach Dip Metress announced Tuesday that Roberto Aufiero has signed to play for the Jaguars beginning in the fall of 2004. He is the ninth signee for Metress, who was named the fifth head coach in ASU basketball history on May 10.

AUGUSTA, GA -- The Peach Belt Conference released its 2003-04 men’s basketball All-Conference team at a special banquet held in conjunction with the PBC Tournament in Augusta on Saturday. Kennesaw State University’s Terrence Hill was named the PBC Player of the year for the second straight year while Augusta State’s Tommy Greer was named the Freshman of the Year. Francis Marion coach John Schweitz was named the PBC Coach of the Year.

AUGUSTA, GA -- Clayton College & State University took advantage of 20 Augusta State University turnovers and placed five players in double figures to come away with a 66-42 victory over the host Jaguars Friday night in the quarterfinals of the Peach Belt Conference Tournament at the Christenberry Fieldhouse. Clayton State advances to Saturday’s 8 p.m. semifinal to take on PBC Regular Season Champion Kennesaw State University.
