Dobbins Signs With Augusta State
AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State head basketball coach Dip Metress announced Wednesday that Terrell Dobbins has signed a national letter-of-intent to play for the Jaguars beginning in the fall of 2005. He is the second player to ink during the spring signing period with the Jaguars, who completed their first season under Metress in March.

ASU's Tovey named Freshman of the Year
AUGUSTA, GA -- The Peach Belt Conference announced the 2004-05 men’s basketball All-Conference team at an awards banquet from the 2005 PBC Tournament in Augusta, GA. Columbus State’s Yandel Brown was named the PBC Player of the Year while Augusta State’s Cameron Tovey was named the Freshman of the Year. USC Upstate’s Eddie Payne was named the Coach of the Year.

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State got 23 points each from Cameron Tovey and Karim Telfer here Friday night to knock off Clayton State 67-53 and advance to the semifinal round of the 2005 Peach Belt Conference Men's Basketball Tournament. The Jaguars, 19-10, will face USC Upstate on Saturday at 8 PM.

AIKEN, S.C.-- Augusta State shot 70.8 percent in the second half and 62.8 percent for the game as the Jaguars beat the Pacers, 81-62, tonight at “The Courthouse” in Aiken, S.C. USCA (6-19, 2-13 PBC), playing its final home game of the 2004-05 season, was led by Josh Geyer’s 15 points. Cameron Tovey and Roberto Aufiero each netted 17 points for ASU (16-10, 9-6 PBC).

Columbus, Ga. -- Yandel Brown hit 10 of 18 shots and scored 33 points Sunday to lead Columbus State to a 82-72 win over Augusta State in Peach Belt Conference basketball at the Lumpkin Center. Brown, the nation's leading scorer, also hit 4-6 three-point attempts and 9-14 free-throws on the day.
