ASU Signing Class Grows
AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Augusta State head basketball coach Dip Metress announced Tuesday that Etsho Ilunga has signed to play for the Jaguars beginning in the fall of 2006. He is the fifth signee of the spring period for Metress, who led the Jaguars to a 15-13 record in 2005-06, his second season at the helm of the ASU men’s basketball program.

The GC&SU Lady Bobcats (11-9, 6-7 PBC) won their second straight game with a 61-40 victory over Augusta State (7-14, 2-10 PBC), while the Bobcats (13-6, 10-3 PBC) used a big second half run to knock off the Jaguars (9-10, 5-7 PBC) 67-54 in the men's contest.

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- Cameron Tovey, the 2004-05 Peach Belt Conference Men's Basketball Freshman-of-the-Year, has decided to accept a professional contract with the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League. He will forego his final three years of eligibility at Augusta State and remain in his home country of Australia.
