    AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men’s basketball team hosted the first ever Jaguars United Night on Wednesday, Jan. 17 during the doubleheader against Francis Marion in Christenberry Fieldhouse. The game was the culminating event for a semester-long competition amongst the colleges and schools at Augusta University to show the most school spirit.

    AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men’s basketball team hosted the Francis Marion Patriots on Wednesday night and fell 106-104 in a crazy double overtime battle in Christenberry Fieldhouse. The Jaguars played their first game in overtime this season and broke the 100-point mark for this first time this season. AU averaged 76.5 points per game entering the night.

The victory was the first for the Cougars at Augusta since January of 2004, snapping an eight-game losing streak.

Playing their second Peach Belt Conference game in three days, the Jaguars won 86-72 for their third straight victory.

With a packed house in attendance, Augusta senior Tamyrik “TC” Fields scored a career-best 24 points, but the Jags fell 88-67 despite leading early.

Fans can buy season ticket passes and seats by contacting the main athletics office in Christenberry Fieldhouse on Wrightsboro Rd., or by purchasing them online.
