Turner 46th At Northeast Amateur


RUMFORD, R.I. -- Augusta State's Emmett Turner fired a one-under 68 Sunday in the final round of the 44th Annual Northeast Amateur Invitational at Wannamoisett Country Club.

Turner finished in a tie for 46th at six-over 282. Wake Forest's Kyle Reifers posted a final-round, even-par 69 to take the prestigious individual title by three shots over Billy Hurley and Michael Sim.

Turner returns to action on Tuesday, June 28th when he competes in the 39th Dogwood Invitational (www.thedogwood.com) at Druid Hills Golf Club in Atlanta, Ga. Turner will be paired with fellow Jaguar Keith Guest, a rising sophomore, and Florida's Brett Stegmaier.
