EUGENE, Ore. – Representing the Jaguar men's golf team as one of ten individuals, senior Alex Wennstam improved his first round score by six strokes at the NCAA Eugene Regional, shooting a 3-over 73 at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore., Friday in the second round of play.

Wennstam started on the back nine in the second round after beginning on hole one to start the event on Thursday. Back-to-back bogeys on holes 16 and 17 put Wennstam at even par heading into his final nine holes.

Wennstam jumped the leaderboard to tie for 55th after he ended the first round at 64th. The top-five teams did not change as Stanford sits alone at No. 1 with a -2 under 558.
