NORFOLK, Va. - The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) has announced the 2018 Men's Golf All-Academic selections and Augusta University senior Broc Everett and sophomore McCullough Pickens represent the Jaguars. The team honors 21 student-athletes from the conference's eight golf institutions who achieved academic success during the spring 2017 and fall 2017 semesters.
MEAC sophomore, junior and senior student-athletes with a 3.0 or better cumulative grade point average (GPA), as well as transfer student-athletes who have been in residence at the institution for at least one year, are eligible for All-Academic accolades.
"I would like to commend our men's golf student-athletes who have maintained a 3.0 or better grade point average during this academic school year," said Commissioner Dr. Dennis E. Thomas. "In addition to recognizing the student-athletes' achievements, I also salute the academic support staff, coaches and parents for their support in the success of these student-athletes both on the golf course and academically."
Everett, McCullough, and the Jaguars begin the postseason at the MEAC Men's Golf Championship April 19-21 at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga. Augusta is seeking its fourth straight MEAC Championship title after winning in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
