Jaguars Back In 2019 With Six Scheduled Events

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men's golf team is back in action this winter and spring for the 2019 portion of its schedule that includes five regular-season tournaments and the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Championship.

"Our 2019 spring season will once again begin in California for the Southwestern Invitational where will see some of the top teams in the country," head coach Jack O'Keefe said. "Our team is young, but talented and we will continue to gain experience playing a top notch national schedule. I am eager to start the 2019 spring season."  

 

Spring kicks off with another trip to California for the Southwestern Invitational Feb. 25-26. The Jags will travel back to Thousand Oaks, Calif. to play in Pepperdine's event for the fourth straight season at North Ranch Country Club. A visit to the beach is up next at the Gary Freeman Invitational, hosted by Bethune-Cookman, in Daytona Beach, Fla. at the LPGA International Golf Club March 7-8. March will end with AU's fourth consecutive visit to the Linger Longer Invitational, co-hosted by Kennesaw State and Mercer at The Landings in Eatonton, Ga. on March 15-17.

 

The Jaguars have rebranded their home event to the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational presented by Valspar. Augusta hosts the 41st edition of its tournament April 6-7 at Forest Hills Golf Club and will feature 15 teams competing on the eve of The Masters. Augusta heads to the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate in Columbus, Ohio April 19-20 for the Ohio-State hosted event at the OSU Golf Club. 

 

The 2019 MEAC Golf Championship is set to take place April 28-30 at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Ga. Six sites across the nation play host to the 2019 NCAA Regional Championships from May 12-15, before the 2019 NCAA National Championships May 17-22 in Fayetteville, Ark. at The Blessings Golf Club.
