TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Augusta University men's outdoor track and field team sent six competitors to the Seminole Twilight on Friday, May 4 to wrap up the 2018 season at the Mike Long Track.
In a meet more about preparation for the approaching division-I conference championships and the NCAA postseason, the Jaguars sent select student-athletes who were close to qualifying marks for the NCAA Championships.
Augusta freshman sprinter Sean McCreary logged action in two events. McCreary finished ninth in the 100 meter dash with a time of 10.93 and took 11th in the 200 meter in 22.42. Senior teammate Justin Harrison also raced in the 100 meter and placed 17th in 11.54.
In the distance events, the Jaguars had four represent the squad. Freshman Jacob Poston placed ninth (4:03.18) in the 1500 meter race and freshman Hunter Kimball, junior Noah Hulett, and senior Josh Thompson raced in a pack in the 5000 meter race. Kimball carded fourth (15:17.86), Hulett fifth (15:17.88), and Thompson seventh (15:57.12).
