Paige Deschaine spent four years as a starting pitcher for the Jaguars and now she enters her second season as a volunteer assistant coach under head coach Melissa Brocato. Deschaine assists Brocato and associate head coach, Evan Smith, with all aspects of the program and emphasis on pitching.
Deschaine played for Augusta from 2012-2016 and was a two-time Peach Belt All-Conference selection
Named All-Region as a junior after posting a 16-3 record on the mound with a 1.96 earned run average, Deschaine finished her four-year career with 650 strikeouts. She pitched 13.2 innings against North Georgia in 2016 to set the school record for most innings pitched in a game.
Deschaine graduated from Augusta University in 2016 with her bachelor’s degree in kinesiology and she achieved her master’s degree in kinesiology from AU in 2017.
