The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
Cecilia Moliner (Valladolid, Spain) Llogged 12 rounds in four events for Augusta in her first season in 2015-16. She posted a 78.83 stroke average and her low round was a 71 in her final round at the 3M Augusta Invitational. Moliner helped the Jaguars earn a No. 30 national ranking
Josefine Nyqvist (Stockholm, Sweden) competed in all 10 events and played in 30 rounds for the Jaguars. She led the team in four events and took first place overall at the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate. Nyqvist finished with a 74.41 stroke average and hit 80 percent of her fairways and 68 percent of her greens in regulation. She ended the year with six top-20 finishes and three top 10s.
The Women's Golf Coaches Association, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women's collegiate golf coaches. The WGCA was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. Today, the WGCA represents nearly 600 coaches throughout the U.S. and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
