  • Maggie Ashmore Named WGCA All-American Scholar

    CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars were announced on July 3 with a total of 1,011 women’s collegiate golfers recognized with this prestigious honor. Augusta University junior Maggie Ashmore represented the Jaguars on the 2017-18 list.

    WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Augusta University women’s golf team finished the Lady Boilermaker in third place at 36-over-par on Sunday afternoon at Ackerman-Allen Golf Course. The Jaguars had five players finish inside the top 20 and were led by freshman Nicole Page in a tie for eighth.

    KENNESAW, Ga. – The Augusta University women’s golf team took fourth place at the Henssler Financial Intercollegiate on Tuesday afternoon, after finishing 28-over-par in the 11-team field. Freshman Teresa Diez-Moliner posted the best finish of her career and led the Jaguars in a tie for fifth overall.

    AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University women’s golf team remained towards the top of the leaderboard at the 3M Augusta Invitational and finished tied for second with No. 21 Purdue out of 15 teams at Forest Hills Golf Club. The Jaguars shot their lowest score of the round with a 287 (-1) on Sunday to end their home event 9-over-par.

Augusta climbed the leaderboard two spots and sits in third place out of 15 teams at Forest Hills Golf Club.

    MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Augusta University women’s golf team finished the Moon Golf Invitational at Duran Golf Club in a tie for fifth with Memphis at 18-over par, after shooting 14 over on Tuesday in the final round. Juniors Maggie Ashmore and Cecilia Diez-Moliner guided the Jaguars for all three rounds and Ashmore finished fourth (E) and C. Diez-Moliner fifth in the field of 74.

Augusta shot 4-over par 575 on Monday and senior Maggie Ashmore and junior Cecilia Diez-Moliner are tied for second overall at 3-under par.

The new Jaguars include freshman Nicole Page (Murfreesboro, Tenn), junior Sarah Tychsen (Pietermaritzburg, South Africa) and freshman Teresa Diez-Moliner (Valladolid, Spain).
