Augusta Through 36 Holes In Atlanta

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – The Augusta University women's golf team played round two of the Ladies Fall Intercollegiate on Saturday at Atlanta Athletic Club and are in 11th place. The Jaguars shaved 14 strokes from their overall team score.

 

 

The Ladies Fall Intercollegiate, hosted By Louisville, is through 36 holes of play on the par-72, 6,210-yard course. Kennesaw State climbed four spots on the leaderboard to share a lead with No. 33 Louisville over the 13-team field. Teams battled rainy conditions all day long, but the Owls shot even par to take the lead with Louisville (+20). No. 15 Illinois is third (+25), Georgia slid to fourth (+29), and Indiana is fifth (+30).

 

The Jaguars improved by 14 strokes in day two of play – led by sophomore Linda Lundqvist's 75 (+3). Lundqvist and sophomore Charlotte Alran are tied for 32nd at 13-over par, Cecilia Diez-Moliner is tied for 40th (+14) after shooting 79, and senior Maggie Ashmore and freshman Teresa Diez-Moliner share a tie for 60th (+23).

 

Round three ends the tournament on Sunday, Oct. 29 with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. off Nos. one and 10.
