Jaguars Rebound With Win Over Belmont Abbey

Aiken, SC --After losing to Winston-Salem in an 87-80 double overtime loss on Monday, the Jaguars bounced back with a 75-67 win over Belmont Abbey Thursday night at the USC Aiken Christmas Classic. The win brings ASU's record to 3-4 on the season, one game under. 500.

ASU's Jermale Wilkerson led all scorers with 20 points on the night. Jags Marty Dunham and Darrick Broddie chipped in with 13 and 12 points respectively.

Belmont Abbey was led by Shaun Taylor and John Gordon who picked up 10 points apiece.

In the nightcap, USC Aiken took the floor and beat Catawba 73-65 behind 18 points from Lee Bowers, who went 12-12 from the free throw line. 

ASU faces off against Catawba College in day two of the Christmas Classic Friday at 6 p.m, followed by USC Aiken taking on Belmont Abbey at 8 p.m.
