AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University men's basketball team played the Columbus State Cougars on Saturday afternoon and won an 87-68 Peach Belt Conference game in Christenberry Fieldhouse.

The Jaguars were up big, 44-27, at halftime and never dropped the lead to go on and win by 19. Junior Rafael Monteiro led AU with 16 points, sophomore Troy Cracknell added 13, and seniors Deane Williams and Tyvez Monroe each tallied 12 points in the win for Augusta.
The Jaguars head to UNC Pembroke on Wednesday, Feb. 13 for a 7:30 p.m. PBC game to kick off a three game road stretch. Augusta plays ta Georgia College (Feb. 16) and Clayton State (Feb. 18) before return home to host Francis Marion (Feb. 20) and Georgia Southwestern (Feb. 23).
