Jaguars Second At Cavalier Classic

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. -- Augusta State booked one-under 287 Saturday and stands in second place at the Cavalier Classic at Birdwood Golf Course.

The Jaguars were one of 12 teams in the 18-team field to complete their opening round. A weather delay forced six teams to complete their first rounds Sunday morning.

ASU senior Keith Guest and junior Tarik Can carded a pair of two-under 70’s and are tied for fifth individually. Freshman Henrik Norlander managed a one-under 71 and is tied for eighth.

Virginia’s Conrad Von Borsig shot a four-under 68 and owns a one-shot lead over a trio of players at three-under 69.

The 36-hole event will conclude with Sunday’s second and final round. There is no live scoring of the event, but full-field results will be posted at the official website of ASU Athletics – www.aug.edu/athletics
