MACON, Ga. -- Augusta State posted a 6-over 294
Saturday during the second round of the Brickyard Collegiate
Championship at The Brickyard at Riverside.
Senior Carter Newman and junior Taylor Floyd paced the
third-ranked Jaguars with a pair of 1-over 73's. Newman, who
began the day tied for the lead, is tied for sixth place at 3-under
141, three shots off the pace. Floyd is tied for 17th at 1-over
145.
Seniors Mitch Krywulycz and Henrik Norlander each signed for a
2-over 74 and are tied for 37th and 44th, respectively. Junior
Patrick Reed is tied for 47th after a 5-over 77.
Georgia netted a 4-under 284 and at 5-under 571, owns a nine-shot
lead over Georgia Tech and Florida State. The Jags are tied for
fourth place with Chattanooga at 7-over 583, 12 shots back of the
Bulldogs.
Georgia's Russell Henley fired a 6-under 66 to grab a
one-stroke lead over the Yellow Jackets' Kyle Scott.
FSU's Brooks Koepka is tied for third with UGA's Hudson
Swafford and Harris English, two shots back of Henley.
ASU will be paired with UTC and Oklahoma for Sunday's third
and final round. Reed is first out for the Jags at 9:20, followed
by Norlander at 9:30, Krywulycz at 9:40, Floyd at 9:50 and Newman
at 10:00 a.m.
