Augusta University is committed to the principle of institutional control in operating its athletics program in a manner consistent with National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA), Peach Belt Conference (PBC), Southland Conference (SC), University System of Georgia (USG) and Augusta University (AU) rules and regulations.  Augusta University’s commitment is to maintain control of its athletics programs by educating coaches, staff, student-athletes and other individuals involved with the athletics program regarding their institutional responsibilities under the rules; and to discover and report any violations of the rules.
 
The Athletics Compliance Office coordinates, monitors and verifies compliance with all NCAA requirements.  Additionally, the Athletics Compliance Office educates faculty, staff and the community regarding NCAA regulations.  The Athletics Compliance Office provides educational programs and interpretive support to ensure that all individuals involved in the athletics program understand and adhere to the University’s compliance expectations.
 
All individuals whose scope of work involves student-athletes must recognize their roles and responsibilities and act with personal accountability and integrity.  Everyone is obligated to maintain competency in knowledge of the rules, to act within their realm of responsibility in full compliance with the rules and to report any violations of NCAA, conference and/or institutional rules.  It is Augusta University’s policy that all violations be investigated and reported.
 
The Athletics Compliance Office aspires to achieve excellence in compliance using the principle of institutional control in a manner that is consistent with NCAA, PBC, SC, USG and AU rules and regulations.
 
Alumni and Boosters
Augusta University is responsible for the actions of their coaches, student-athletes staff, alumni, boosters and fans.  Boosters are regulated by the same NCAA rules and regulations place upon all institution athletics staff members.  The following information is intended to help education athletic boosters, booster organizations and alumni so they can best sport AU athletes and recruits without putting the institution, coaches, athletes, or recruits at risk.
