Junior Patrick Reed, who paced ASU with a 69 in Tuesday's opening round, signed for one of three 3-over 75's, along with seniors Carter Newman and Olle Bengtsson. Senior Mitch Krywulycz, who opened with a 1-under 71 Tuesday, notched an 81 for the day's non-counting score.

Reed slipped from third into a tie for 15th place at even-par 144, while Norlander, who suffered just his third round in the 80's in his collegiate career on Tuesday, climbed into a tie for 53rd and joined Newman at 5-over 149. Krywulycz played his last seven holes in 1-under-par and is tied for 78th, while Bengtsson had an 11-shot improvement and is tied for 139th.

LSU's John Peterson fired a 7-under 65 to move in front in the individual leg of the NCAA Championship. He owns a one-shot advantage on Georgia Tech's James White, while UCLA's Patrick Cantlay, Georgia's Harris English and Luke Guthrie of Illinois are third, just two strokes back.

The Jags will be paired with Texas A&M and Ohio State in Thursday's third and final round of stroke play. Bengtsson will lead off for ASU at 12:50 p.m. (CST), followed by Krywulycz at 1:00, Norlander at 1:10, Newman at 1:20 and Reed at 1:30.
