AUGUSTA, Ga- The Augusta University Women's basketball team cruised past the visiting Paine College Lions 73-34. Augusta is now 7-2 heading into its first Peach Belt Conference game against Columbus State on Monday Dec 20
th. Paine falls to 1-5 for the season.

Four different Augusta players were in double-digit scoring. Eleven AU players in total scored during the contest. The Jaguars were led by
November Morton's 13 points and 3 rebounds.
Kennedi Manning was 6-of-11 for 12 points.
Tomiyah Alford and
Ashleigh Boulin added 10 points each.
Michaela Lane and
Tomiyah Alford each snagged 5 rebounds.
Augusta won the rebounding battle 57-28. AU converted 24 turnovers to 32 points.
Paine and Augusta traded baskets for the first three minutes of the game before a made layup by
Kennedi Manning stretched the lead to 10-4. A bucket from Paine's Alexandria Caples put the Lions within two points to end the first quarter.
The home team took a commanding lead in the second quarter, outscoring the visiting team 30-6 and leading by as many as 26 points. AU led 44-18 at halftime.
Each team notched 10 points in the third, but the Jaguars extended their lead, outscoring the Lions 19-6 in the fourth quarter.
The Jaguars are back on the road Dec 20
