VERONA, WIS – The Augusta University Men's Golf team finished 12
th at the Badger Invitational hosted by the University of Wisconsin on Tuesday evening. After three rounds of play, the Jags shot a 298 in the first round, a 296 in the second, and a 291in the third for a combined total of 885 (+21) on the par-72 course at University Ridge Golf Course.
Illinois State (-8), Sam Houston (-5), and Cincinnati (-4) took the top three spots. Northern Illinois and Wisconsin rounded out the top 5 teams in the competition.
RESULTS
Wilhelm Berg von Linde led AU, shooting a team-low 70 in the third round of pay. He finished in a tie for 34th overall
Brothers Alex van Wyk and CJ van Wyk both finished five over and tied for 39th. After acing the 8th hole on the second day, Jack Vajda completed the tournament two strokes behind the pair. Gareth Steyn finished tied for 72nd.
Dawson Booth competed as an individual and finished in a dead heat with the van Wyks (+5).
