TUCSON, AZ. – The Augusta University Men's Golf team finished third in the Wexford Plantation Intercollegiate. After three rounds of play, the Jags shot a 292 in the first round, a 293 in the second, and a 285 in the third for a combined total of 870 (+6) on the par 72 course at Wexford Plantation in Hilton Head, SC.

Host Francis Marion finished the tournament in first place (+2), defeating Furman by only one stroke (+3).Augusta finished third (+6), East Carolina (+7), and Mercer (+7) finished in a tie for fourth.
Alex van Wyk led the Jaguars, finishing in a tie for 10
th (+1). Following behind van Wyk was
Gareth Steyn who finshed in a tie for 15
th (+3). Finishing one stroke back was AU teammate Victor Lindgren fin a tie for 21
st (+4)
Hampus Wijkstrom finished tied for 37
th and
CJ van Wyk finished in a tie for 48
th.

Augusta Men's Golf will travel to Pinehurst, NC for its next trip. The squad will play in the Wake Forest Intercollegiate March 7-8.
