AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University Men's tennis team dominated non-conference opponent Benedict 7-0 on Wednesday. The two teams met on Augusta's home court at Newman Tennis Center. Augusta improves to 1-0 while Benedict falls to 0-1.

Ricard Rubio and Artur Abyan Davydosky won the No. 1 doubles battle 6-3. They were followed by a 6-0 win by Daniel Szczupak and Lucas Bolle at the #2 doubles spot Herick Isago and Tanguy Calcis blanked their opponent 6-0 in the third doubles match.

Ricard Rubio defeated Mark Chigaazira 6-4, 6-4 at the No. 1 singles spot. Lucas Bolle was challenged in the second set, but prevailed 6-1, 7-5.  Daniel Szczupak only gave up one set in his match, defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-1. Herick Isago defeated Divgurjot Singh 7-5, 6-4. Quentin Cano Perez won 6-2, 6-0 while Tanguy Calicis rounded out the win column with a dominant 6-0, 6-0 defeat.
