AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta University Men's tennis team dominated non-conference opponent Benedict 7-0 on Wednesday. The two teams met on Augusta's home court at Newman Tennis Center. Augusta improves to 1-0 while Benedict falls to 0-1.

Teresa Franco Dias and Claudia Corbon Roca won the No. 1 doubles battle 6-1. They were followed by a 6-4 win by Julia De Macedo Moraes and Carlota Costa Manero at the #2 doubles spot. Edith Rueda Croda and Lea Mocher blanked their opponent 6-0 in the third doubles match.

Claudia Borbon Roca defeated Patricia Wama 6-0, 6-0 at the No. 1 singles spot. Julia De Macedo Moraes won 6-1, 6-1.  Edith Rueda Croda won 6-0 in the first set before battling for a 6-4 win in the second set. Clara Bascunana deMiguel defeated Karina Izakova 6-3, 6-2. Carlota Costa Manero won 6-2, 6-0 while Lea Mocher won 6-2, 6-0 in the final match of the day.
