Milledgeville, Ga- The Augusta University women's basketball team lost a PBC matchup to the Georgia College Bobcats 73-63. AU is now 11-9, 4-7 in conference play while Georgia College is 7-12, 4-6 in Peach Belt play.

The home team jumped out to a an early 7-2 lead. Five consecutive points from
Kiera Howard with 4 minutes left in the first quarter tied the game at 9. Both teams stayed within a few points of the other until a late offensive spurt by the Bobcats sent them to the locker room at halftime with a six-point lead. Georgia College opened a 13 point lead in the third quarter before AU brought it back to a five point deficit. Late offensive proved not enough and the Jaguars fell 73-63 on the road.

Kiera Howard and
Kennedi Manning both turned in 17 points. Howard was 6-of-13 from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line. Manning carded a double-double, scoring 17 points to go along with a game-leading 14 rebounds.
November Morton added 12 points.

Both teams were virtually even in points in the paint and points off turnovers. Augusta's bench outscored the Bobcats' 16-3. Â
