WINGATE, N.C. – The Augusta University women's basketball team recorded a 75-66 win over the No. 14 ranked Wingate Bulldogs on the road Saturday afternoon.
"Proud of how our team competed today," said head coach
Celeste Stewart. "It's challenging to win on the road but our team responded very well and stayed composed throughout the course of the game. I believe this shows growth for our team. Truly a team effort."

Autumn Phillips hit five three pointers to lead Augusta with a career-high 26 points. Phillips was 5-for-7 from beyond the arc and 8-of-13 from the field.
Tomiyah Alford was just shy of a double-double, scoring 11 points and snagging 9 rebounds. Kennedi manning and
Mone Florence each added 9 points to the scorecard.
Both teams were virtually even through the first two quarters, with the home team leading 34-32 at halftime. Phillips hit three triples in the last two and a half minutes of the third quarter to give AU a 53-48 lead headed into the final stanza. Another made jumper from Phillips opened the fourth quarter before a made three from
Mone Florence extended the lead to ten. Augusta would stay in front for the remainder of the game, winning 75-66.
