AUGUSTA, GA - The Augusta University women's basketball team fell 75-57 to a tough Virginia Union team at home Saturday afternoon. The Jaguars fall to 4-3 for the season while Virginia Union improves to 7-1. AU will have a week off, returning to play on Saturday Dec. 16 at 1:30 pm when they host Francis Marion. The Dec. 16 contest also marks the inaugural First Responders game at Christenberry Fieldhouse. Admission is free for all first responders.

The Jaguars were led in scoring by
Kennedi Manning with 16 points and nine rebounds.
Tomiyah Alford was the only other Jag to card double figures, scoring 13 points and grabbing two steals.
Autumn Phillips and
Yamani Paul turned in nine points each. Paul added eight rebounds to the stat sheet.

Augusta struggled from three-point range. Shooting from beyond the arc is generally a staple for AU, but the team was 1-for-17 from three-point range for the afternoon. Virginia Union also capitalized on turnover, scoring 19 points off 14 Augusta turnovers.

The Panthers were led by Ny Langley (27 points) and Naveah Reaves (23 points).
