AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University head women's golf coach
Caroline Haase- Hegg announced the addition of Emma Charles who signed a National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play for the Jaguars next fall in the 2023-24 season.
'I'm excited to add Emma to the team next year as a graduate student, said Haaase-Hegg. "Her leadership qualities and experience will add great value to our young team on and off the course. I wish her luck as she finishes her year at Anderson and look forward to welcoming her in the fall. "

HIGH SCHOOL: Charles attended Hartsville High School in Hartsville, South Carolina before graduating in 2019. She lettered under David Coacher. Charles was named the 2019 South Carolina Individual State Champion.
ANDERSON UNIVERSITY: In her inaugural 2019-20 season, Charles earned honorable Mention All-South Atlantic Conference honors and paced the Trojans in unadjusted stroke average. In the 2020-21 season, she became just the second golfer in Anderson University history – men's or women's - to make an appearance on the national stage - among 72 golfers at the 2021 NCAA Division II Women's Golf National Championships. In 2021-22, Charles finished the season ranked 70th nationally by Golfstat. She helped the team to a No. 4 national ranking while landing on both the President's List and the Dean's List.
