AUGUSTA, Ga - The Augusta University Women's Basketball lost a 55-48 contest to Georgia College on Saturday afternoon. Augusta is now 13-9, 6-6 PBC while Georgia College improves to 13-9, 5-7 PBC.

Autumn Phillips and
Kiera Howard were just behind her with 12 points and 6 rebounds apiece.
Vick Harper led scoring for Georgia College with 13 points.
Georgia College capitalized on second chance points, scoring nine points off offensive rebounds.
Georgia College started the game on a 10-2 run, extending the lead to 12-4 with 4 minutes left in the first quarter. A three pointer by Dashaun Jackson with less than a minute left in the period pushed the lead to 15-6.
Augusta outscored Georgia College 16-9 in the second half to narrow the visiting lead to 24-22 at the half.
The two teams battled in the third quarter, coming into the final period 37-37. After battling the final quarter, Augusta got within two at 50-48 on a
Kiera Howard layup. The Bobcats held Augusta scoreless for the remainder of the game and scored on each remaining possession to pick up the win.
