Americus, Ga – The Augusta University Women's basketball team wrapped its season with first-round loss to North Georgia in the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Wednesday evening. The Jags fell 80-69 putting a cap on a 17-12 season.

The first quarter between the two teams was virtually equal, with both teams scoring 15 points and neither team leading by more than a single possession. North Georgia shot over 57 percent in the second quarter to help create an eight-point separation at halftime and the Nighthawks would lead for the rest of the contest. The No. 4 seed led by as many as 20 points in the final period. Augusta would narrow the lead to eight again but would eventually fall 80-69 to close the year.
All-Conference performer
Kennedi Manning led Augusta, scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds. The senior shot 9-for-14 and was a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line. Also named All-Conference this season,
Tomiyah Alford turned in 14 points and 3 steals.
Autumn Phillips tallied 16 points. Senior leader
Kiera Howard wrapped her career with 3 assists and a steal.
