AUGUSTA, Ga. – Augusta University men's golf finished ninth at the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational Sunday at Forest Hills Golf Club.
No. 12 Florida (-39) won the event by 12 strokes over No. 6 Illinois. Augusta (+7) finished nine strokes ahead of Virginia Tech. The field featured eight teams in the top-50 in the country and six in the top-25, including No. 9 Texas, the defending national champion, which finished sixth (-13).
Stefan Jacobs shot 71-72-71 to finish 2-under and tie for 21st.
Ian Pienaar tied for 36
th after posting a three over-par 72-72-75.
CJ van Wyk finished tied for 42
nd and
Hampus Wijkstrom completed the tournament tied for 51
st.
Behn Heyns finished tied for 59
th.
Competing as an individual,
Dawson Booth carded a 72-74-76 to tie for 46
th.
