AUGUSTA, Ga. – The Augusta men's tennis team opened the season with a dominant 6-1 win over USC Sumter Thursday afternoon at the Newman Tennis Center.

Herick Isago and Arthur Valette along with Alexis Bailhache and Quetin Cano Perez each won their doubles matches 6-4 to give Augusta an early lead. The Jags then swept the singles competition. Herick Isago had a battle against Gian Rodriguez Rojas at the No. 3 spot but pushed to a 10-7 third-set victory.
 
Augusta returns to action on Friday, Feb. 2 when they host Benedict College at 1pm at Newman Tennis Center.
