Columbus State opened up a nine-point lead and held Augusta scoreless for almost six minutes. A three-pointer from Phillips in the final minute pushed the score to 20-26 at halftime.

An 'and-one' bucket from Kennedi Manning opened AU scoring in the second half and sparked a 9-0 Augusta run over the next four minutes. Knotted 40-40 at the end of the third quarter, the Jaguar offense started clicking early in the fourth, pushing the lead to 14 points and capping a 65-51 victory.

In addition to her game-high 21 points, Phillips also carded two steals, five rebounds, two assists, and a block. Alford turned in four rebounds and three steals. Manning had 10 points and eight rebounds. Je'Bria Fullwood added seven rebounds.
