Parker Ingram and Tomiyah Alford Named Georgia's Own Student-Athletes of the Month

 AUGUSTA, GA – Augusta University baseball's Parker Ingram and women's basketball's Tomiyah Alford have been named the Georgia's Own Student-Athletes of the Month for February. The Georgia's Own Student-Athlete of the Month Award honors one male and one female Augusta University student-athlete from an in-season sport for their hard work and effort.

Junior Parker Ingram recorded a .333 batting average to go along with a .706 slugging percentage during his first 16 games. Ingram had a .477 on-base percentage during February.

The outfielder blasted a team-high five home runs to go along with 18 RBI. He carded 17 hits and scored 17 runs. Ingram had two doubles and a triple to his credit.

During the opening month of play, Ingram had five multi-hit games and was named PBC Player of the Week on February 12th. He is in the top ten in the PBC in home runs and RBI.


Tomiyah Alford – Women's Basketball

Alford, a native of Barnesville, Georgia, guided Augusta to a 7-1 record in February. She was named PBC Player of the Week on Feb. 5th and again on Feb. 26th.

Alford averaged 15.9 points per game. She leads the team in field goals per game and is second on the team in scoring. She connected 56-of-102 shots from the floor (54.9 percent) and drained 15-of-19 from the charity stripe.

During the month, she reached double figures in seven of eight contests. Additionally, she scored her 1,000th career point against Georgia College. Alford erupted for 25 points against Clayton State on Feb. 7. In the victory, Alford was 11-for-15 from the field.
