AMERICUS, GA.- The Augusta women's basketball team took down the seven-seeded Georgia College, 68-63. Their record improves to 22-7. They now advance to play the winner of the No. 3 Columbus State and No. 6 Clayton State.

Georgia College jumped out to an early lead over the Jaguars, 18-12.
The Jaguars fought back in the second quarter behind Autumn Phillips to tie the game at 27.
Things stayed tight throughout the third quarter, neither team leading by more than four points. In the fourth, the Jaguars took their largest lead of the game, 56-48. Georgia College cut the lead all the way down to one with 12 seconds left and the ball. The Jaguars stole the inbound pass and took it the length of the floor to extend their lead to 3. Georgia College missed their three-point attempt and the Jaguars advanced to the semi-finals.
Phillips led the way for the Jags with 19 points, and six rebounds. Mone Florence added 14 and Kalen Surles added 10. Kennedi Manning grabbed nine rebounds in the win.
Augusta will play again tomorrow at 5:00 on the PBC sports network.
