Jaguar Student-Athletes Volunteer at IRONMAN 70.3 Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga - Augusta University student-athletes once again supported the Augusta community by volunteering at the IRONMAN® 70.3® Augusta, one of the largest half-distance triathlons in the country.

Several Jaguar programs were actively involved in helping facilitate the race. The men's basketball team served as part of the "Green Team," working cleanup and sanitation along the course to keep the race areas clear for athletes and spectators. The women's basketball team staffed a bike aid station, handing out water and refreshments to competitors during the cycling portion.

Volleyball, cheer, and softball student-athletes were also stationed along the route, helping distribute drinks, provide encouragement, and ensure athletes had what they needed to finish strong.

More than 3,500 competitors took part in this year's event, which relies on the support of over 1,000 volunteers. Augusta student-athletes have been a consistent presence at IRONMAN 70.3 Augusta each year, continuing the program's tradition of community service and engagement.
