Statesboro, Ga. - After the first two rounds of the Bash in the Boro at Georgia Southern University Golf Course, Augusta's
Stefan Jacobs is 5-under-par and in a tie for seventh place. He is three shots off the lead with the final round on Tuesday. Jacobs is one of four Jaguars playing in the event as individuals.
Jacobs shot rounds of 68-71 for his total for the day. In the opening round, he rolled home five birdies against just a single bogey. Jacobs followed that up with four birdies in round two, but did make three bogeys.
Benjamin Lübker shot rounds of 74-75 and is 5-over-par. He
tallied six birdies on the day, with five of them coming in the second round. A few too many bogeys and double bogeys would cost him in round two.
Playing in his first event of the year,
Chapman Barnett shot rounds of 73-78 and is 7-over-par.
Josh Daniels, playing in his first collegiate event with the Jaguars started play with an 81. But Daniels rebounded in a big way and shot a 74 in round two. That round featured a pair of birdies.
The final round is on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
