AUGUSTA, GA - Augusta University women's basketball players
Brianna Meekins and
Tyasia Freeman landed spots on this year's Academic All-District Team, as announced by the College Sports Communicators (CSC) on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Meekins, a senior from Bridgeport, Connecticut, saw time in all 29 games, including five starts. She averaged 3.8 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game. Freeman, a graduate student from Waynesboro, Georgia, saw time in all but one game, including 15 starts. She recorded 5.1 points per game and 4.1 rebounds per game.
