No. 33 Augusta Men's Tennis Sweeps USC Sumter 7-0 at Home

AUGUSTA, Ga. – The No. 33 Augusta University men's tennis team earned a dominant 7-0 victory over USC Sumter on Saturday afternoon at the Newman Tennis Center. The Jaguars improve to 12-6 on the season with the sweep.

Augusta quickly took control in doubles play, sweeping all three courts. Enzo Garutti and Alexis Bailhache led the way with a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles, followed by Arthur Valette and David Perret's 6-4 victory at No. 2. Humberto Pinto and Enzo Sakiyama completed the doubles sweep with a 6-1 win at No. 3.

The Jaguars carried that momentum into singles, claiming straight-set wins on all six courts. Garutti earned a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1, and Bailhache followed with a 6-3, 6-2 result at No. 2. Valette took down his opponent 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3, and Perret posted a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4. Pinto dominated 6-1, 6-1 at No. 5, while Sakiyama closed out the sweep with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 6.

UP NEXT: Augusta will return to conference play at Flagler on April 17 before heading into the PBC Conference Tournament beginning April 25.
