AUGUSTA, Ga - Former Augusta University women's basketball players
Je'Bria Fullwood and
Autumn Phillips have signed contracts to play pro basketball on the international front. Fullwood will play for Musas Jalisco in Mexico while Phillips has signed to play for Eanna Basketball in Ireland.
Both Fullwood and Phillips capped off their collegiate careers last season with the Jaguars.
Fullwood averaged just over five points a game while grabbing four rebounds and came up with 27 steals. She played in 24 games a year ago.
Phillips finished her AU career fifth on the all-time three point list with 131 three pointers. She averaged nine points a game and grabbed over four rebounds per game. Her senior season was cut short by injury, but now is ready to begin her professional career.
"It's awesome to see," said coach
Celeste Stewart. "They were the gym consistently before I was. We had practice at 6 a.m. and they were beating me to practice so I'm not surprised they are continuing their careers. They have the work ethic, the mentality to do it and I'm super proud of them."
