AUGUSTA, Ga. – The No. 37 Augusta University men's tennis team pulled off a ranked upset on Sunday afternoon, defeating No. 15 Lincoln Memorial 4-3 at the Newman Tennis Center.

Lincoln Memorial claimed the doubles point with wins on all three courts to take an early 1-0 lead.

The Jaguars responded in singles play, winning four matches to secure the comeback victory. David Perret dominated his match with a 6-0, 6-0 win, while Alejandro Carbonell followed with a straight-set victory.

Enzo Sakiyama added another point with a three-set win, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.

With the match on the line, Arthur Valette delivered the clinching point, battling back for a 3-6, 6-1, 7-5 victory to seal the 4-3 win for Augusta.

Alexis Bailhache and Humberto Pinto both fell in their singles matches as Lincoln Memorial picked up its remaining points.

Augusta returns to action on Saturday, April 4, hosting No. 3 Flagler College in Peach Belt Conference play at 12:00 p.m.
