Linville, N.C. - Augusta University's
Sara Adams finished fifth in the just completed 100th Carolinas Women's Amateur Championship at Grandfather Golf and Country Club in Linville, N.C.
Adams fired rounds of 79-73-74 and finished at 10-over-par, good enough for a tie for fifth place. Just a single golfer finished at even par.
After struggling in the opening round, she made her move in round two where she had a birdie and double bogey on the scorecard as she climbed the leaderboard.
She would move up two more spots with her final round 74.
Adams, from Whispering Pines, N.C., finished her most recent season with the Jaguars with a 74.2 scoring average. Her best finish in the college season was seventh at the UNF Collegiate and the More Than Golf Invitational events.
