Ashleigh Fox is in her third season as the assistant women's basketball coach at Augusta University.
She helped lead the 2024-25 squad to a record-breaking season. It marked the second consecutive 20-win season and second consecutive season with a top-25 ranking. Quinasia Abercrombie was named the 2025 PBC Freshman of the Year.
During the 2023-24 season, Fox xhelped the Jags to a historic season. The Jaguars registered 15 Peach Belt Conference wins - the most in school history. The team registered a 14-3 road record en route to a 22-9 overall record. The team finished in the top 25 nationally for field goal percentage and made its first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2016. Autumn Phillipos, Tomiyah Alford, and Kennedi Manning were all honored as All-Conference selections.
Prior to coming to Augusta, Fox was the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Discovery High School in Lawrenceville, GA. In her first year (2021-2022) as head of the program, she coached the Lady Titans to their second state playoff appearance in program history. Prior to relocating to Gwinnett County, Fox coached for five seasons as the head varsity girls' basketball coach at Northside High (Warner Robins). During the 2016-2017 season, she led the Northside Lady Eagles to a Region 1-6A championship over Valdosta High. Coach Fox was recognized as the 2017 Region 1-6A Coach of the Year. In 2018, the Lady Eagles advanced to the Sweet 16 and were eliminated by the eventual state champions, Lovejoy High. Prior to accepting the head coaching position at Northside, she served as the assistant girls’ basketball coach, assistant track & field coach and head girls’ soccer coach at Jones County High in Gray, GA.
Fox's collegiate career began as a walk-on at Georgia College with the Lady Bobcats. While at Georgia College, she was recognized as a Peach Belt Conference 2009-2010 Silver Scholar and 2010-2011 Gold Scholar of the Presidential Honor Roll. She was privileged to serve as a representative for the Student Athletic Advisory Committee as well as a team captain during her last two seasons. Fox graduated from Georgia College with her Master of Arts in Teaching in Kinesiology & Physical Education. She also earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science.
Fox is a product of Gwinnett County, GA where she played basketball at Parkview High School. Her parents, Mark & Sonja Fox, reside in Gwinnett County.
