Faigle joins athletics from the school's Communications and Marketing Department where he served as Senior Communications and Media Coordinator for the past three years. During his time in that department, he fostered a strong relationship with all the media and helped bring more attention to Augusta University as a whole. In the new position, he will focus on doing the same with the athletic department.
"I am looking forward to this new role," said Faigle. "Augusta University athletics continues to shine brightly, and I am looking forward in getting the word our more than ever to the area and region. The program continues to operate at a championship level, and I couldn't be happier to be part of it."
Prior to his time at Augusta University, he spent nearly 20 years in the sports department of three different television stations. The last 14 years were at WRDW in Augusta, Georgia, where he served as Sports Director. He also spent time in Nebraska and New York.
While at WRDW, he covered Augusta University's two national title golf teams, their basketball trips to the Elite Eight as well as telling stories of AU athletes. Now, he looks to promote those stories and more in the new position.
During his time in television, Faigle has covered a Super Bowl, 14 Masters, a College Football National Championship and countless number of major college football games.
Faigle graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Broadcast Journalism and currently resides in North Augusta, South Carolina.
