Madison “Maddie” Massaro joined the Augusta University softball staff as an assistant coach in 2026.
Massaro came to Augusta after spending two seasons on the coaching staff at Roosevelt University. She joined the Lakers as a graduate assistant for the 2024 season, helping Roosevelt finish third in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference and mentoring five All-Conference selections.
She was promoted to assistant coach in July 2024 and worked with the program during its transition from the NAIA to NCAA Division II. Her responsibilities included practice planning, opponent scouting, recruiting, game preparation and daily program operations. Massaro helped mentor six All-Conference selections during her two seasons at Roosevelt.
A native of Romeoville, Illinois, Massaro began her collegiate playing career at Robert Morris University Illinois. She batted .242 with four RBIs as a freshman in 2019 and earned Second-Team All-CCAC honors.
Massaro later transferred to the University of St. Francis (Ill.), where she batted .317 during her three-year career. As a senior, she earned Second-Team All-Conference honors and was named to the CCAC Gold Glove Team as a catcher.
Massaro earned her degree in Recreation and Sport Management and pursued a Master of Business Administration while coaching at Roosevelt.
