AUGUSTA, Ga. --
Augusta State defeated Paine 3-0 Thursday night at Christenberry
Fieldhouse in non-conference action. With the win, the Jags
advanced to 13-18 on the year, while the loss dropped the Lions to
16-15.
Sophomore Dianna Meyer paced the Jaguars with 11 kills and a .500
hitting percentage. Also aiding in the win for the Jags was junior
Jessica Howard, who posted 10 kills and had seven block solos.
Freshman Ashley Zappitell tallied 19 assists, and freshman
Kristania Crawford added 10 assists.
For the Lions, freshman Lagi Roberts posted six kills, while junior
Alexandria King notched 15 digs. Freshman Janae Kearse had a total
of seven digs.
The Jaguars return to action on Wednesday, Nov. 5, when they host
Armstrong Atlantic State in a Peach Belt Conference match in
Christenberry Fieldhouse. First serve is slated for 7:00 p.m.
